My inbox is flooded with messages lately, and I'm slightly unable to keep up with the current amount of messages. So I made this simple F.A.Q. with questions that have been asked to me over and over again.
Please refrain from asking questions that are already in here. I will not answer them. If you have any other questions, please send me a message. It might take me a while to reply, though.
About Llamas
You gave me a llama. What do I do with it? Llama badges serve no purpose on DA, other than exchanging them for fun. You can collect many of them, and give them to other people as well.
Thank you for the llama badge! You are so awesome! You're welcome. You don't need to thank me on my wall or anything. As I give out a lot of llamas, I get a lot of those messages. If you want to do something back, give a a llama in return.
Should I give you one as well? That would be nice. They're free, you know!
Why did you give me one? I don't know you So what? I don't know you either. I like visiting random people's profiles and giving them a llama. I do it out of kindness and a sense of fun.
About art requests
I don't do art requests, because I don't draw art for free anymore. The last time I did that, was exclusively for my DA-watchers but I got overwhelmed with over 30 requests...and I'm still finishing those (on another account) .
Could you do an art trade with me? Yes, but if you're wanting to trade drawings, then I will be uploading my half on my other account.
Do you take commissions? Yes, photos and drawings both, but since my PayPal is not yet set up correctly, please pay with DeviantArt points . Thank you.
Can you donate points (for my group)? Nope, sorry, but I save points for buying art from my wishlist, and for occasionally giving a few to people I'm really grateful toward.
Watch me, please? Nope. Although I realize that for some people watching works that way, for me it doesn't. I have 200+ people/groups on my watch-list at the moment, and although their art is good, I get hundreds of messages in my inbox every single day. To prevent my inbox from getting cluttered, I only watch close friends (those I know from real life) or people whose art is somehow inspiring. If you're watched by me; consider yourself lucky. That either means I see you as a friend, and/ or you happen to make great art
Favorite me, please? For faving, it goes the same as for watching. I only fave those artwork that I somehow find inspiring.
Will you join my group? You can always send me an invitation to join your group, but don't be insulted if I choose not to join. I have many group requests pending on a monthly basis, so I choose only to join those that share my interests.
On the other hand, you can always add my artwork to your groups features. I will generally accept those requests as long as the group's respectable.
Could you critique my artwork? Sure! But ask in a comment though - I'm not a mind-reader.
Can I use your art? Depends on what you want to use it for. -No claiming it as your own -No commercial ads -No homework use -Nothing involving illegal things, abuse, racism, gore, pornography, discrimination, piracy, or extreme profanity I retain the right to alter and/or add to the list, and the right on DA to report you for stealing my art. **If you want to use it for personal projects (or you want to color it) it's OK as long as you mention the original belongs to me, AmethystPhotographer.
Why won't you reply on my message/comment? I get a lot of messages in my inbox. Although I do my best, I sometimes don't have the time to answer every single one of them. So I frequently refrain from answering thank-you messages and questions that are in my F.A.Q. already. I do, however, read all of them.
I WRite tO u Lkie dIs, wHy R u igNorIng ME u suCk. I don't freakin' care what you have to say. As long as you don't control your caps-lock usage, and don't bother to spell correctly or use basic grammar, I'll delete your message instantly.
Are you an art student/professional? Not yet, but hopefully some day. Currently I do art for fun. I'm an editor and writer in real life, and have a full time editing job.
Ta ta for now. |
